This section is a showcase of learning artifacts from courses I took as part of Walden University's Masters in Instructional Design and Technology program.  I am currently in my capstone course. I am on track to graduate July of 2015.

EIDT 6120: Multimedia Design and Development

An Online Learning Object

This artifact showcases my ability to apply principles of multimedia design. Such considerations as stylistic variations of a font (italics, underline, boldface, kerning, leading, etc.),  and other aesthetic principles of web design balanced with the logical flow of instruction. The result is an integration of multiple multimedia elements into a cohesive learning object.

EDUC 6135: Distance Learning

This artifact showcases my application of adult learning theory and design principles for a hybrid learning environment.

I developed an orientation for students of a hypothetical graduate level hybrid Philosphy Seminar. The goal was to create debate teams, and a flipped model for having debates start online and continue in the physical classroom.

The design centered on Keegan's distance learning theory (Quasi-Permanent Separation), and Kagan's cooperative learning technique known as PIES.
